Zeddy — last updated 2 August 2026
Zeddy is a notes app. You can type notes, dictate them, attach photos, and have them tidied or sorted into fields. This page describes exactly what that involves, in plain terms.
Zeddy is not funded by advertising. Your notes are not sold, rented, or used to train anyone's models, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
| Data | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Your email address | Stored to identify your account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and nothing else — no contacts, no calendar, no profile data. |
| Your notes — text, titles, tags, checklists, reminders | Stored on your device and, so they reach your other devices, in our database (hosted by Supabase, in the United States). |
| Photos you attach | Stored in Cloudflare R2. Deleted when you delete the note they belong to. |
| Whether you subscribe to Zeddy Pro | Handled by RevenueCat, which receives your account identifier and the state of your subscription. Payment itself is taken by Apple or Google — we never see your card details. |
Some features work by sending content to a provider, receiving a result, and keeping only the result:
| When | What is sent | To |
|---|---|---|
| You record a voice note | The audio | OpenAI, or DeepInfra if OpenAI is unavailable, to turn speech into text |
| You convert a note to a Meeting or List | That note's text | Anthropic, to sort it into fields |
| You scan handwriting | That photo | Anthropic, to read the writing |
| You digitise a sketch | That photo | Google, to redraw it |
Your audio recording is not stored anywhere after it is transcribed. These providers process the request and return a result; under their API terms they do not use this content to train their models.
Your location. Place reminders work by asking Android to watch a circle around a place you chose and wake Zeddy when you arrive. Your coordinates are handled entirely on your phone. They are never transmitted, never stored on our servers, and never shared. Zeddy asks for background location only at the moment you set a place reminder, and explains why before asking.
Your contacts. If you turn on contact suggestions, Zeddy matches what you type against names already on your phone, on your phone. Contacts are never uploaded, never stored, and never sent to any provider. This is off unless you switch it on.
Deleting a note removes it from your devices and from our database, and deletes any photos attached to it. Deleted notes sit in Trash first so you can undo a mistake.
To delete your account and everything in it, email support@thecktgroup.com from the address you signed up with, and it will be removed within 30 days.
Nobody, beyond the providers listed above that are needed to make a feature work. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Those providers are: Supabase (accounts and note storage), Cloudflare (the service that talks to the providers below, and photo storage), OpenAI and DeepInfra (transcription), Anthropic (structuring notes and reading handwriting), Google (sketch redrawing, and sign-in if you use it), Apple (sign-in if you use it), RevenueCat (managing your subscription — it receives your account identifier and whether your subscription is active, never your notes), and Resend (sending sign-in codes by email).
Zeddy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what happens to your data, the date at the top will change and the app will tell you.
